Troy in the Spotlight
Mr. Forcier's class has been working with Ms Carolyn, our FoodCorps service member, on a raised bed garden as they read the book Seed Folks together. The wood comes from our own school property, with help from Jonathan Sawyer, who cut the trees, Drew Houser, whose horses pulled the logs from the woods, Joe Belerose, who brought his portable saw mill to school to saw them up, and Shawn Quimby, who brought the tools in and supplied the guidance for putting the beds together. Shawn has also donated some compost and soil, which is the next step in the creation of our garden.
Students in Ms Kulakowski's second grade classroom spent the month of March researching different historical characters. They took their research and created posters with biographical informationf and prepared presentations, which they put together in a "Wax Museum". They invited parents, grandparents, and the other classes to come tour their museum last Thursday.

We celebrated 100 Day this week in a number of ways, including students dressing up as if they were 100 years old.
