MVES in the Spotlight
Minion Math Night was a great success! Almost 50 adults and 70 students attended this event. Students were able to do some games focused on adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and counting by 5's and 100's. There were other games that included movement and math.
Parents learned about a math app that they could do with their children. It was designed to be used by children with a parent. There was a choice of three books from the Bedtime Math series that had various word problems at different math levels.
Thank you to everyone that contributed to the evening. Thank you parents for donating snacks and attending the event. Thank you to our staff and middle and high school volunteers for running the games. Thank you students for attending the event and trying some new math games.
Our next event will be Reader's Theater in February!
Learners at Mount View Elementary learn to work as teams and to support each other in their learning. They use EMPOWER to help them know what they have mastered and what they need to be working on. They are taking charge of their learning!
